How to make transparent nail polish

Transparent nail polish can play a protective role on the premise of maintaining the natural appearance of nails, and can also be used as a base oil and brightening oil for other colored nail polishes when necessary. Method 1: Glue and water

1. Pour transparent glue into an empty nail polish bottle until it is three-quarters full. You can buy empty nail polish bottles at a beauty shop, or wash the ones you have used up at home. Find out the clear glue at home and squeeze it into the nail polish bottle. Leave a quarter of the space for the water to be added later.
If you don’t have transparent glue, you can also use white glue, but after it dries, it will feel foggy and not bright enough.

2. Fill the bottle with water. It is easier to pour water into the bottle with a pipette or funnel. Add water slowly until the neck is reached. Don’t put it on the edge of the bottle mouth, otherwise the nail polish will overflow if a brush is put in it.

3. Shake the bottle and mix the glue and water thoroughly. Tighten the cap to prevent the nail polish from spilling. Shake the bottle vigorously until the glue and water are well mixed. When you see a little foam in the overall mixture, it is done.
Glue and water may separate. Shake well before each use.

Method 2: Glue and hand sanitizer

1. Pour 1 teaspoon (about 5ml) of glue into a bowl. You can use transparent or white glue. They will become transparent after drying, but the white glue will look hazy and not transparent enough. Pour the glue into an empty nail polish bottle or small bowl.

2. Add 1 teaspoon (about 5ml) of hand sanitizer. You can buy any disposable hand sanitizer on the market to dilute the glue. Squeeze a little bit into a bowl with glue.

3. Mix the two materials well. Shake the bottle vigorously or stir with a spoon until the two ingredients are thoroughly mixed. When the texture of the nail polish becomes consistent, it can be applied to the nails.

Method 3: Apply nail polish

1. Apply a thin layer of nail polish on the nails. Dip the nail polish brush into your homemade nail polish, then place the brush head on the edge of the bottle and scrape it to remove the excess nail polish. The brush head is applied smoothly in one stroke along the length of the nail. Make sure that the entire nail is covered with nail polish for full protection.
Don’t apply thickly, otherwise the nail polish will take a long time to dry, and it will look pitted and not level at all.

2. Let the nails dry completely. Nails usually take 10 minutes to dry, so sit back and relax for a while. Be careful not to touch your nails or perform any activities with your hands that may scratch or stick the wet nail polish. When the nails are dry to the touch and don’t feel sticky, it’s done.
You can also blow your nails with a hair dryer to help them dry out faster.
Homemade nail polish usually lasts for 4-5 days.

3. If you use transparent nail polish as a primer, you can apply a layer of nail polish of other colors on it. After the homemade nail polish is air-dried, you can apply a layer of nail polish of other colors directly on it. Whenever you want to remove the top layer of nail polish, you only need to use tweezers to lift the nail polish on the edge and you can easily tear it off.
