iPad mini 6 may stop charging after updating to iPadOS 15.5
1 min readAccording to a memo to service providers obtained by MacRumors, Apple is investigating reports from users that the iPad mini 6 may have stopped charging after being updated to iPadOS 15.5.
In a memo sent to authorized service providers, Apple said it is aware that some users may be reporting that the latest mini will not charge after updating to iPadOS 15.5. Apple recommends that service providers and retail personnel notify customers to reboot their devices as a temporary fix while the investigation is ongoing.
It is critical that Apple makes clear that replacing the iPad or battery hardware does not fix the problem and confirms that it is purely a software issue.
Apple is currently testing a beta version of iPadOS 15.6, which may resolve the issue when released.
