Apple has approved supplier BOE to provide OLED panels for iPhone 14

Apple has reportedly approved supplier BOE to supply OLED panels for the iPhone 14, despite previous manufacturing adjustments made by BOE without Apple’s knowledge.

The company has produced a limited number of panels for the iPhone in the past, but has been looking to expand its production capacity to provide Apple with more products.

BOE may have finally received a small production order from Apple for the iPhone 14, according to the report. Supply chain data from Rto Lotu Technology Research shows that Apple has certified BOE’s OLED displays.

Apple’s new 5 million BOE order is expected to be used to supply panels for the standard 6.1-inch “iPhone 14”. The industry estimates that Apple will buy 60 million screens from Samsung and LG will supply 25 million.

In June of this year, Apple again began evaluating BOE’s “iPhone 14” panel production.
