Third beta of iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 pushed to developers
1 min readApple today made the third beta of its iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 updates available to developers for testing, two weeks after Apple released the second developer beta.
Registered developers can download iOS and iPadOS 16 profiles from the Apple Developer Center, and once installed, the beta will be available for download via OTA. Given that this is a potentially buggy early beta, it is best to install iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 on a secondary device.
iOS 16 introduces a new lock screen that offers a higher level of personalization and customization through widgets, notification redesigns, and fonts and colors that can be adjusted over time. Multiple lock screens are supported, similar to watch dials, and can be associated with focus mode.
There are a host of other new features in iOS 16 and iPadOS 16, with a full release due in the fall.
