M2 MacBook Air available for order from July 8

Apple has just announced that the completely redesigned MacBook Air with the M2 chip will be available for order starting Friday, July 8 at 8 p.m. and will be shipped to customers worldwide starting Friday, July 15.

Powered by the M2 chip, the new MacBook Air delivers enhanced performance and an eye-catchingly thin design with a wider 13.6-inch Liquid retina display, 1080p FaceTime HD camera, four-speaker audio system, up to 18 hours of battery life and MagSafe charging support.

MacBook Air is available in four elegant finishes: Midnight, Starlight, Silver and Dark Sky Gray. MacBook Air starts at $9,499 for the M2 chip and $8,749 for the education discount.

MacBook Air offers a variety of charging options, including a new 35W compact power adapter that provides two USB-C ports so users can charge two devices at once, and for the first time, MacBook Air also supports fast charging, which can charge up to 50 percent in just 30 minutes with the optional 67W power adapter.
