Wallet ready Apple a series of unreleased new products exposed
2 min readRecently, a developer has found specific references to the yet-to-be-released M2 Mac model as well as more Apple devices.
Developer Pierre Blazquez is not sure in which Apple code these references are found, nor will he confirm that they are to M2 devices.
However, Apple says the mission of the M1 is over, so the three codenames — Mac14, 5; Mac14, 6 and Mac14, 8 — are almost certainly the new M2 models.
Blazquez said, “The identifier has been extracted from a file archived in a publicly available software package.” Blazquez emphasizes that this is information from publicly downloadable software and does not claim in any way to be an internal leak.
Blazquez also now says that code names and identifiers for more than 20 more new devices have been found.
He says the iPhone 14 identifiers are as follows
iPhone 15, 2
iPhone 15, 3
iPhone15, 4
iPhone15, 5
The currently unknown iPad logo is as follows
iPad14, 3
iPad14, 4
iPad14, 5
iPad14, 6
iPad15, 1
iPad15, 2
As for the Apple Watch, developer Blazquez said he found nine new variants.
Watch6, 10.
Watch6, 11.
Watch6, 12.
Watch6, 13.
Watch6, 14.
Watch6, 15.
Watch6, 16.
Watch6, 17.
Watch6, 18.
Blazquez also found a series of code names, including T8120 and T8122. These are Apple’s system chip numbers for the new processor, he said.
Previously, T8110 was the codename for the iPhone A15 bionic processor, suggesting that T8210 could be the processor for the next generation of iPhones. Likewise, T8220 could become the codename for the future Apple Mac processor.
Most interestingly, Blazquez also spotted a device called AudioAccessory6. 1, codenamed B620AP, which he speculates is a new HomePod, as the HomePod mini’s internal name is AudioAccessory5.1.
