The mission will be launched from the 39A Launch Center at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. At that time, SpaceX will send NASA astronauts Raja Chari (mission commander), Tom Marshburn (pilot) and Kay La Barron (Kayla Barron, mission expert) and European Space Agency astronaut Matthias Maurer (Matthias Maurer, mission expert) were sent to the International Space Station.

Foreign media reported that if the launch proceeds as planned, the four crew members will arrive at the International Space Station early on Monday morning, local time, for a brief handover with the astronauts who flew to the space station in April this year.

Once in low-Earth orbit, Crew-3 crew members will perform a six-month scientific mission in the microgravity laboratory.

However, the mission also has a backup launch time and date, which is 1:10 AM Eastern Time on November 3 (Wednesday local time).

According to the report, with the adjustment of the launch date of Crew-3, the Crew-2 astronauts are currently planning to return to Earth in early November this year.

It is reported that SpaceX performed the Crew-2 mission in April this year. This mission is the second commercial manned mission performed by NASA and SpaceX. In this mission, NASA used SpaceX’s Crew Dragon spacecraft to send four astronauts to the International Space Station.
