Adidas NFT sales totaled over 22 million U.S. dollars when it first entered the meta universe

On Friday, Adidas officially launched a series of non-homogeneous tokens (NFTs) that “enter the meta-universe”, and sold nearly 30,000 within a few hours of the sale. At the price of 0.2 ETH per share (currently about 765 US dollars), the total sales of 29,620 NFTs easily exceeded 22 million US dollars. Although there are 30,000 in total, Adidas and its partners have retained 380 of them for “future activities.”

According to earlier reports, NFT buyers will get “digital + physical” products and experiences, the latter covering Indigo sportswear, hoodies with blockchain addresses, orange caps and other commodities.

However, referring to Adidas’ answers in the FAQ section, physical products will not be listed until 2022, which means that buyers of this round of NFT sales have only temporarily paid a high deposit.

However, there were some unexpected situations during the panic, especially the company provided 20,000 early access places to people who own Adidas Originals / GMoney tokens, Bored Ape Yacht Club / Mutant Ape Yacht Club and Pixel Vault NFT, leading to others More difficult to obtain.

In addition, shortly before 1:30 pm Eastern time, the holders of Mutant Ape Yacht Club were unable to access the NFT due to a malfunction, but Adidas promised to compensate these people for related losses. As for when this sale is sold out, and when the next round of NFT activities will start, it remains to be officially disclosed.
