AMD Zen3 Ryzen 5000 processor B2 new stepping online: performance unchanged
1 min readAs early as half a year ago, AMD revealed that it would launch a new stepping B2 Ryzen 5000 series desktop processor within six months. Now they are here.
In the motherboard support list of manufacturers such as ASUS, ASRock, and MSI, the B2 stepping Ryzen 5000 series has quietly appeared, including 5950X, 5900X, 5900, 5800X, 5800, 5600X, and 5700GE APU.
The previous stepping version of the Ryzen 5000 series processor is B0-I don’t know why B1 is skipped this time, or it may be an internal test and not publicly launched.
It is reported that the Ryzen 5000 series of B2 stepping has no changes in function and performance. Don’t expect it to have a higher frequency.
Because generally speaking, the processor update step is more related to the optimization of the manufacturing process, as well as the correction of some logic, defects, and small bugs, which do not affect daily use.
