McDonald’s: Opening 200 new stores in Italy by 2025, adding 12,000 employees
1 min readReuters quoted local Italian media reports on December 13. McDonald’s Italian branch chief executive Dario Baroni said that by 2025, the group will employ 12,000 people in Italy and open 200 new restaurants.
Baroni said: “McDonald’s believes that Italy is one of the markets with the greatest potential in the world.” Baroni said that McDonald’s goal is to open 800 stores in Italy in the next four years, and the current number is 630. It has about 40,000 employees and currently there are about 25,000.
In 2020, McDonald’s revenue in Italy will drop to 1.4 billion euros from 1.6 billion euros the previous year.
